Cerro Castillo Provincial Park Adventures

Established in 1970, Cerro Castillo Provincial Park is located in the Aysén Region of southern Chile, protecting one of Patagonia's most iconic mountainous landscapes. The park centers around the Cerro Castillo massif, an impressive jagged peak rising over 2,600 meters (8,530 feet), whose striking spires resemble a castle's turrets. The park’s remote location results in fewer crowds than other Patagonian parks, providing a true sense of solitude. Access is generally by gravel roads from the nearby town of Coyhaique, which serves as the main gateway offering guides, gear, and supplies.
